Vegan liver sausage

Vegan liver sausage recipes to make yourself, without liver and without sausage? How is that supposed to work! The question is easy to answer: the basis for this vegetable spread in liver sausage style is smoked tofu and kidney beans. Tastes great on the vegan pumpkin rolls! Already tried?

The preparation is as quick as it is simple. All you need is a food processor or alternatively a hand blender. This vegan liver sausage is much cheaper compared to the original and also more wholesome. The beans that are used are rich in healthy proteins and fiber.

  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 apple
  • 1 tablespoon oil for frying
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup
  • 300 g cooked kidney beans
  • 200 g smoked tofu
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper

Preparation

Click: 

  1. Peel the onions and the garlic, core the apple and cut everything into small pieces.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan and fry both in it. Then deglaze with agave syrup and allow to caramelize slightly.
  3. Place the remaining ingredients in a blender, add half of the apple and onion pan and blend.
  4. Place the spread in a bowl and mix with the other half of the apple and onion pan.
